Subcontain Derby City - aptly named for the home of the fastest two minutes in sports - is owned and operated by Matthew Ishmael. A lifelong Central Kentuckian, Matthew brings more than fifteen years of franchise experience from Firehouse Subs in Lexington, along with two decades of operational and leadership expertise in the air medical industry. Drawing on his deep well of real-world experience, Matthew and his team are committed to positioning Kentucky at the forefront of Subcontain's forward-thinking approach to waste management solutions. Outside of work, Matthew is an outdoor enthusiast and a serial entrepreneur. He enjoys videography, hunting, wildlife management, beekeeping, and hiking - and even summited Mount Kilimanjaro in 2019. He lives in Central Kentucky with his wife and three children.
